hroughout the past decade, Modern Continental has been heavily involved in all aspects of tunneling, from trenchless procedures to complex utility projects. Our New St. James Avenue Interceptor in Boston, Massachusetts was awarded Project of the Year by Trenchless Technology in 1996. Other showcase projects include the "Ted Williams" Third Harbor Tunnel -- one of the first completed milestones of Boston's Big Dig project -- and the MetroWest Water Supply Tunnel Project, supplying water to the greater Boston area from the Quabbin Reservoir.
