Ludwig E Joins the Modern Fleet
The Ludwig E, a 100-foot tugboat built last year in Louisiana, will arrive in Rhode Island sometime over the next few weeks. She will then head off to New York City, where it will be used for the Fountain Avenue Landfill job. The boat will be transporting materials on the Hudson River from Albany to the city, a trip of about 140 miles each way. Modern’s New York office won this $141.6 million contract last year.
Below are some stats and figures on the new tug. The Ludwig E was named after the father of Modern’s Ken Anderson.
