NY Office Wins Long Island Expressway Job

Modern's New York office was recently awarded a $128 million contract with the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) to perform road work on Interstate 495, also called the Long Island Expressway (LIE). The work, which will take place between exits 32 and 40, will include roadway widening, reconstruction of shoulders and median, drainage work, milling and resurfacing of the LIE mainline, reconstruction of a bridge, fence and rail work, electrical work, utility relocation and replacement, concrete repair, and landscaping. The contract duration is 20 months.
