n May 1999, Modern won a $200 million job to make major renovations at Logan International Airport's Terminal E. The upgrade includes the construction of a new three-level 411,000 square foot expansion south of the existing facility, expanding the fucntions of the current terminal, and the renovation of 175,000 square feet in the existing facility.
Work includes new construction and renovation of the international passenger ticketing facilities; federal inspection services; baggage area and greeter's lobby; a two-level enplaning and deplaning drive; ground transportation services; and public parking. Terminal E has remaned open during the work, which has provided additional challenges for crews on the job.
